When Paul Martin walked onto the field in Vancouver for the 2005 Grey Cup amid chanting and fierce boos, I felt a little sorry for the guy.
What happened to Dion today at the CLC rally in Ottawa however, was amazing. The video makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
How stupid is Team Dion? Did they expect that it would be all hugs and kisses from the labour movement after the Liberals turned their back on Canadian workers and helped kill the extremely important anti-scab bill (C-257)?
I can't wait to see what happens when Buzz Hargrove tries to give him a jacket and a hug during the next election.

It seems that the NDP will keep a part of their seats. Dion will not be able to regain the workers's votes.
I noticed losts of rank and file CAW banners in the crowd. Buzz might be their leader, but obviously the 'guys and gals on the line' know a scab when they see one.
When the libs voted against that bill, they showed exactly what side they are on when it comes to workers rights and collective bargaining without management bringing in scabs to do their work.
Another thing, I heard him talking about free trade, well trying to. Wrong crowd. We need Canadian companies wanting to produce in Canada with Canadian labour and making a fair wage.
A little bizarre to boo about anti-scab legislation when you're worried about your job - what planning strikes prior to saving job?
No wonder the manufacturing is in trouble.
Partly their own fault - demand, demand, demand and then wonder why outsourcing happens.
Oh yes, and there was Jimmy Hoffa Layton up there waving his arms in his shirt sleeves - buying your votes.
What a joke. When the booing started, I lost sympathies for these folks.
Gee, the auto industry has only had about 20 years to come up with fuel efficient, affordable cars and now they're whining because another country beat them to it?
I have so had it with unions. They are destroying industry.
And anon, the company that decides what products to produce does not take the lead from the workers. So GM, Cryslers just never got it. Although Buzz Hargrove did, when he teamed up with the NDP, green peace and came up with a green auto strategy. Too bad those American owned companies didn't listen to the workers and the union, as they knew the writing was on the wall.
And the workers demands, you mean for the car companies to design and market a green fleet? Too bad the corporate guys are too dumb to get it.
I want a Canadian velicle manufacturer to make an Canadian electric and hybrid one made by our workers, the best producers in the world.
I agree with you about these. Heavy equipment are booming right now. You might be interested to see this site I've found. They offer a lot of heavy equipment: Caterpillar, Hitachi, backhoe loaders, excavators, and many more. www.komatpillar.com

Ah, good times...a youtube classic.
What better time to dust this gem off than during an election?
If the Dion Liberals are going to pretend to be progressive, this rally blows through the spin to show the Liberals for what they really are: Tory lites.
