Vancouver by-election fun

A couple weeks ago, while the MSM were all busy speculating over the size of Harper's minority in Canada's New New Government, Gordon Campbell snuck in a call for two by-elections in Vancouver. Yes, the lucky residents of Vancouver-Fairview and Vancouver-Burrard will get to go to the polls on October 29th. Good times.

It's all-hands-on-deck over here to make sure that we send Jenn McGinn and Spencer Herbert to Victoria, so I will be blogging only sporadically, if at all, until next Wednesday. I will try to make it up to you all by getting a video made out of this by-election madness, so that you too can know how great it feels to get to campaign for two extra weeks.

If you live in Vancouver, please join me. We start with Burma-shaving around 7:30am most mornings, and end with calling voters who tell you they have already voted until 9pm. (actually, it's been fun- I'm just being whiny)

But seriously, Jenn and Spencer are great candidates and I am grateful for the opportunity to send them to Victoria with a message for Campbell about what Vancouver thinks of his pay hikes for top advisors, inaction on minimum wage, neglect of the housing crisis, *insert your favourite BC Liberal broken promise*, etc.
